  • So I just ordered Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/70r18lt for my first truck ever. Does the speedometer vary a lot from stock wheels? What can I use to calibrate it. Also did you completely remove the wheel well liners?

You don’t have to remove the liners. Just undo some of the screws and take out the little bracket behind the liner. You might not even have to do that depending on the true dimensions of the Nitto tires (mine are Falkens). With stock wheels (no wheel spacers) you should be good to go. I didn’t bother recalibrating my speedometer, but 100 km/h (I’m in Canada) equals 106 km/h in reality. Hope that helps.

Oh that's not a bad difference, thank you!

Hey, I’m thinking of doing the 295/70/18 wild peaks on the stock wheels. You said without lifting, leveling, or spacers it was rubbing a little bit near full lock in reverse ? Do you think the mudflap delete would fix that and make them clear 100% also how bad was the rub? Was it something that made driving the truck annoying?

The mud flap delete will totally remove the rubbing issue, but even if you didn’t remove them it’s only minor rubbing at full lock.
I was admiring you truck with the putco rack. Love the pictures.
Would you mind answering a few questions:
1.) Does it stick out past the cab at all?
2.) Do you think it would block a rear facing dash cam that it at the top of the rear window?
I am currently trying to decide on getting it or not, but want to make sure it will work and I won't have regrets as I am having a hard time finding information.

Hey thanks. The rack does stick out from the lines of the truck but only a slight bit above the bed rails. I’d prefer if it would fit the lines of the truck better but Putco would’ve had to spend more money on R&D. It’s a solid rack though and highly customizable. As for the rear facing dash cam the top of the rack falls just below the third brake light and roof spoiler.

Thanks for replying and the information. Been searching for information on the rack and it’s hard to find. Putco hasn’t even replied to emails. If it followed the contour of the cab, it would be an easy decision.
