    L3B 2.7L 2022 LTD oil analysis

Mobil 1 ( just regular old M1) of appropriate grade for your engine. Amsoil and Redline are good but the ones DEXOS approved are made to a minimum spec. Specifically for the 2.7L L3B which is consuming some oil ( about .75 qt in 4000 miles) I have been testing an interesting oil THAT IS NOT...

    Duratrac question

Sold my 4 Duratracs after 47000 miles of use, still had probably 20,000 miles of use remaining. Replaced with E rated Firestone WinterForce LT snow tires of same size with 19/32 of tread. What a difference in driving capability up here in snow and ice. They even work great in mud and sand...

    Duratrac question

Same experience. I live at 9000' in a very remote area and have to drive a good distance up mountain on dirt and rock roads. After they break in they are awesome tires, prior to wearing them in they sucked in icy snow. I am a disabled veteran with poor hearing so I just rotate them often and...

    Hello . . .

Love my 2.7 L3B. 31000 miles with no issues except it’s either consuming some oil or hiding it in heat exchangers. Intake and exhaust mods in my estimation a waste and risks sensor issues needlessly. Love it’s quiet power and incredible torque off road. Superior MPG on road here in Colorado...

    L3B 2.7L 2022 LTD oil analysis

Sharing probably my last test, #6 and surprise, Havoline ( Chevron bought Texaco and that brand years ago) Pro-Rs 25% estolide based oil and it did well compared to the other 5 oils tested. Note the 6 qt box dispenser listed it as Dexos1 GEN2, I suspicioned it was a backdoor way to get GEN3...

You are living in the wrong area then...... come down here to the Sangre de Christos for aligned thinking.....LOL Up here at 9000' msl I am loving the 2.7 Turbo but will step out into charging my 4WD for 6.2 cents a kwh when I can. I am retired and a disabled veteran so we don't get out as...

What is the best oil to use in 2020 Trailboss or does it really matter???

I still do some forensic analysis and they would hire me to dig that deep, trust me GM doesn't want to pay me.....LOL A dealer or regional mgr might BS that way but unless its outright fraud I doubt GM pays that anymore. Most licensed engine oils that are DEXOS1 GEN 2 or 3 have very similar...

What is the best oil to use in 2020 Trailboss or does it really matter???

Ideally analyze the oil first then find the sweet spot for lubricant choices. Every engine is like a fingerprint and using a hand in glove approach can save the engine, get better combustion efficiency, better MPG, and drive smoother. I worked for 45 years as a lubricant and fuels...

    What’s your high score? (MPG)

24000 miles now on the 2022 LTD 2.7T and running Maverik E15. 26-27 MPG no wind @60 mph consistently in Colorado on two lane US HWY 160 going to and from VA in Alamosa. Wind kills all that of course and we have a lot of wind....LOL Started running AMSOIL PI every 4000 miles and AMSOIL UCL...
