Any problems if I buy 275-70-18 Tires for my Trailboss? I want to fill the wheelwell, but not if it comes at a disconcerting price. Will the extra diameter effect my speedo by much? Any guidance is appreciated. My tire of choice is BF Goodrich T/A KO2's

Will fit with or without level. This was with the bottom spacer only on the Ready Lift with UCA’s . Nittos

275/70R18 is a great size for these trucks. It's JUST big enough to look not too small, but not big enough to make a problematic difference in final drive.

Couple suggestions - find yourself a LIGHT tire...the stock tires are unbelievably light - so stay away from D and E range heavyweights or you can kiss your (admittedly not that great) fuel mileage goodbye. Secondly, either get a translator box to recalibrate your truck for the bigger tire size, or completely ignore your MPG gauge and ODO cause they will be wrong. The speedo difference going from 32" to 33" is minor enough that you can live with it, but your MPG gauge will read much lower and your ODO will be off too.

I just upgraded to GY Territory MT 35's on my truck, they are nice and light...the 33" version is even lighter. But Toyo's Open Country in C-range is pretty light and you can get the Ridge Grappler in both C and SL ranges that are pretty light. They will all be heavier than stock but as long as you keep the weight increase minor, you will be ok.

You can also get a pulsar programmer. It has the option to adjust tire size so your speedo is always good.

Looking for new tires also. The stock tires on my TB are the goodyear duratrack 275-65x18 32.3" tall and 49#. Most D,E and LT tires are around 60#. Falken list a Wild Peak 285/65X18 that is 32.6" tall and weights 41#. Note; not the LT285 that weights 61#. They list for $400.00 and are the OE on the Toyota Tundra TRD pro.

Just wanted to note that although the stock tires are listed at 49lbs online, mine actually weighed in at 41lbs. They are impossibly light.

Look for C-range tires. The new GY Territory MT is crazy light, that's what I went with - the 315/70/17 weighed in at 50lbs. I think it's listed at 52lbs online. I think the 33 is listed at 45lbs. But there are lots of good choices out there.

Not to highjack, but wish I could find the equivalent for the 20 inch wheel. What is the overall diameter of these tires you guys say will fit? 33s? Alot of 275/65/20s are around 34 inches

I think you'll be fine. I don't think you'll rub with 34s as long as the tire isn't really wide or you're running spacers. Trucks running 35s without lifts only experience minor rubbing.

Trying to figure out where to start a new question here but struggling :). Can anyone tell me if switching out my factory 265/60/20 tires and wheels on my 23’Trailboss Diesel 4X4 for stock 24’ ZR2 275/70/18’s would work with no modifications?

Obviously you would need 18" wheels, but yes, that would work perfectly without modification. If you are actually getting the ZR2 wheels with the tires than that's perfect...they will bolt right on and you'll have plenty of clearance.

Thank you for responding. Yes, I be buying take offs of a ZR2 Silverado so yes, new tires and wheels. However some seem to be saying the factory supplied Wranglers may not be a good choice. Admittedly I’d buy Wild Paek 4’s if I already had 18” wheels bit I don’t. I can buy the 18” package new never used takeoffs for about the same amount of money as new Wild Peak 20’s. Any thoughts there? Thank you. Kevin

Everybody has their opinion on tires - don't assume that someone else's favorite will be liked or even acceptable to you. For instance - the Territory MT (which is the tire that comes stock on the ZR2) is near the top of my list right now - it has the grip of the Duratrac without the noise. The Wildpeak is near the bottom for me because it is unnecessarily heavy...it's performance does not make up for it's weight.

If you can get a steal of a deal on those ZR2 takeoffs, grab 'em and don't look back. I think you will absolutely love those tires.
