Hello all,

I have a refresh Trail Boss with the 20 inch black wheels. I have thoroughly reviewed the threads and found just one person that ran 285/65/20 with no rub and just One person that ran 295/60/20 with no rub. And I found a few thread where Generally 285/60/20 seems to work no problem but I would like a little more height. I have stock 265/60/20 MT now.

Can anyone else confirm that either 285/65/20 or 295/60/20 fit with little to no rub on a trail boss with no lift or level please?

Any help is appreciated so I don’t make a mistake and buy the wrong tires.

Maybe looking at 275 65 20 now. Anyone use these and have any pictures to share?

Any pictures of other tire sizes for the 20s are welcome too!

I had 295/70/r18 nitto ridge grapplers with stock 18' wheels with no lift or level. No rub at all.

I have a 22 refresh with the diesel. I am running 275/65/20s. They are the firestone destination XT. They are between the AT and MT series. No rubbing at stock. I added 1.5" spacers and they rubbed until I removed the mud flap bracket. Mud flap could stay just the bracket had to go. I like the height and tires.

I have 285/62 r20's with no lift or leveling kit. I have no rubbing at all. I put the Nitto Recon Grapplers on miy relatively new truck. Love the way it looks. They do set about an 1 inch away from the upper control arm which to me is not a problem. Good luck with your decision.

I’ve been looking at 285/65R20 Falken Wildpeaks to replace the stock 265/60R20 Wrangler MT on my ‘21 6.2 Custom TB. The 285/65 have a diameter of 34.6 in while 275/65 have diameter of 34.1. If I can fit the 285/65 I’ll go that way but if not, I’ll step down to the 275/65. Truck is stock suspension/ lift wise.

I recently installed 295/55 R20 Toyo AT3s on 10x20 wheels with -25 offset along with 1” leveling kit on 2023 TB. Has slight audible tire rub in reverse only. Rubs on top edge of mud guard .

Went with 275/65R20 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws today. Up about an inch and a half in size from stock. Happy with em so far!

The stock Goodyears were too small and at 18k miles began to hum so loud that I couldn’t stand it.

I read on a website that you can fit up to a 34.8 inch tire without having to lift or level the truck. I went to the dealership and they ordered a 285/ 65 20 to check the fit for me. I went with the BF Goodrich AT KO2. They mounted it on my rim and it cleared with about a 1/2” room at extreme turn. I ended up trimming the top of my mud flaps on the inside of the wheel well (Roughly about a 2”x2” square) just to be sure. It doesn’t affect the integrity of the mud flap and it’s barely noticeable. The tires measure 34.6” according to the manufacturer. They fill the void nicely and it puts the truck about a full inch taller. I’ve had the BFG KO2’s on a previous truck and they are great all year round. They ride much more quiet and comfortable than the stock Goodyears.

Hopefully this will help someone who is considering a bigger tire

This is the setup I’m looking at going with. Are you happy with the tire size and Falken’s? How does this tire ride on the highway? Truck looks good man!

I’m very happy with these tires. The size seems just right, and they are much quieter than the stock Goodyears. I just got back from putting 3,000 miles on them on highway, and I’m impressed, especially compared to the previous tires. I’d choose them again definitely.

Appreciate the response. I just traded in a 17 with 35’s/6 inch lift for a 2024 TB. Still use truck to pull but now burning up the highway for baseball tournaments. Wanted something that still rides well but looks good.

One last question how is your wheel axle turn ratio with these size tires? Is it still pretty easy to turn?
