2020 Custom Trailboss Bed Outlet

Hi all! My TB came without the power outlet in the bed like most silverados have. I would like to ad the outlet to mine, however I'm not sure how. Has anyone done this? I have searched the forum and haven't found any threads about it.

It’s basically worthless. Only 400W and the truck has to be running. This is what I’ve read. Ive never used mine and probably never will

Thanks! I am needing it for camping, so the truck having to be running doesn't work for me.

So this of course leads to more questions for how we can make it more useful.

Has anybody added a second battery, upgraded the power that flows to the bed, or made it more useful for something like running a Dometic fridge or other overlanding goods?
