I searched the forum and did not get any results. But my 2020 Trail Boss with the electric release tailgate has been acting up. With the remote sitting on the counter, I can watch my tail lights blink a couple of times and hear several clicking noises, and then the tailgate opens on its own. At first, I thought someone in my neighborhood must have the same Freq as my remote. But this also happens at various locations on my travels. The truck is super clean and barely 25000 miles. If I lock my doors it will not do it. But if left unlocked, the tailgate will drop on its own. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have not had this problem but you might still be in the "bumper to bumper" warranty which is good for three years or 36,000 miles. Maybe call your dealership to confirm and then have them take a look if you still have the coverage.

Scan for codes related to the Body Control Module or Tail Gate Actuator. You probably have something in the early stages of failure...
Turned out the problem was the switch on the gate. They replaced it under warranty and all is good. Also had a issue where radio would shutoff and power off on its own like once a week. They found error codes in it and decided to swap with a new radio under warranty also.
