My 2022 refresh 3.0 trail boss has its radiator leaking at the seam with 36,306 miles on it, at least I bought an extended warranty. Talking to my dealer that I brought it to the radiator is on back order, part 86785339, with no date of delivery unless another dealer will give up their inventory. Was curious if anyone has a good lead on a dealer to contact for this.

this whole situation is rather frustrating as this is the second gm truck in a row that is having he radiator replaced for a leak. Really making me(and mainly the wife) question gm.

thanks for help.

I can't help with the radiator, but do wonder what is it that you're doing different that I'm not to cause you to experience these radiator issues. I'm truly curious for the sake of wanting to know what's causing these issues. Neither my wife nor I have experienced this issue with our vehicles. She is looking to buy another brand for her next purchase, but only because GM doesn't offer what she's interested in which is a smaller SUV that is body on frame.

Dealer tech here. I have seen multiple 3.0l Radiators leak now. Also a lot of problems with the coolant flow control valve assembly. Glad I have a 6.2L

What is coolant flow control valve assembly issue? I brought the truck in because the fan would run on high when it was cold outside. They inspected and said coolant was low so did vacuumed test and said they found a leak in the seam.

Did talk to service department today and they did locate a radiator so hopefully next week they can get it replaced.

not doing anything out of ordinary with the trucks.

Man, that's a drag...Sorry your dealing with that. Aluminum core radiators with plastic tanks compression crimped on are not unique to GM vehicles though (pretty much the industry standard) and many of them start leaking. You can always smell the leaky ones walking through any mall parking lot!:ROFLMAO:. When it's my time I plan on up fitting to a n aftermarket solid aluminum radiator with the tanks welded to the core. Best of luck! Hope the dealer gets it sorted and you have no more issues.🤙

Directs coolant to the egr valve and cooler.

Jumping in this thread due to the mention of the coolant flow control valve.

Check engine light came on this week and about every other trip the engine fan ran on high and I got the Reduced Acceleration message on my cluster. Dealer ran their checks and found the coolant control valve is bad. They have seen this on a few 3.0s. The part is on back order and of course no loaners. They say it is safe to drive and won’t cause further damage. The fan running on high is a fail safe the computer initiates because it can’t get an accurate engine temp, per the service advisor.

‘22 refresh with 18,800 miles, 16 months old. Towed to the shop once, CEL has been on 4 times now requiring service/system updates.

2022 3.0 with almost 28,0000 miles

Just received this message. Immediately took it to the dealership and of course the check engine light went away. They were still able to pull up the history and stated the message stated Valve one stays open while the TCU computer doesn't register it to the truck during shifting... BUT didn't do any work on the issue. The next day started driving and again, Check Engine light comes back and receive this message again. Scheduled an appointment with the dealer next week. Will keep you all posted on the outcome.
