I bought a TB a couple of weeks ago, found one a guy ordered and then backed out of just like I was looking for. I have the VIN, the dealer said it has been built and through inspection at the factory in IN, but they claim they cannot tell me when it will arrive at the dealership. Anyone share how long it took their truck to get to the dealership once built? How about a way to track the truck? I did a search, but the posts I found were about ordering a truck, and didn't really help.

Thanks...

They can tell when the carrier trailer leaves the plant. It gives them a ETA on when it would be arriving at the dealership. Sometimes it can be early, or it can run a few days later (can depend on weather). The Chevy dealership that I work at has this system.

same here. I had to wait an extra week because my truck was sitting about an hour away because they did not have enough drivers and then they wanted to have more than one truck on the trailer before it came this way.

Thanks for the info, I plan on calling my salesman this morning.

Texted with the salesman, he said the truck is sitting in Roanoke, IN, which I guess is the Fort Wayne factory, with an "estimated" delivery date of May 9th. Hope he is right, maybe it will come sooner.

Once it's on the carrier they get an ETA of arrival, it took mine two and a half weeks from Indiana to Pennsylvania, it took the train to Jessup MD rail yard then truck carrier to Waynesboro Pa

Thanks for the info. That sounds about right, May 9th would be about two weeks. We have a big train yard in Lawrenceville, GA, so that's where it will probably be brought in.

Called Onstar this morning, and they got me connected to my truck. It's sitting in a rail yard in Nashville right now.

That's what I did when I was waiting on mine, don't be surprised when you aren't able to track it because after so long of the truck not being active the computer shuts everything down so onstar won't work again until the ignition turns back on, at least that is how the 21's are, but glad to hear you know where it is and that it is on its way to you

The truck made it's way from Nashville to Chattanooga yesterday, by way of Alabama. I guess they have other stuff to drop off along the way. It will probably sit in Chattanooga today, and then continue south Monday. It may get here by the May 9th date, hope so.

The truck made it to the Dacula, GA (Lawrenceville) yard that GM uses to transfer cars and trucks from rail to delivery trucks. Maybe it will get to the dealership before next Tuesday, only time will tell.

My truck arrived at the dealership last Thursday, but their shop was backed up and could not get it prepped. I picked it up Friday, to my friend's truck accessory store Saturday morning for running boards and toolbox. Sunday the stickers came off. Out early this morning, but took a quick photo as I was heading out. Really like this truck, rides great, good for the light duty off roading I will be doing around our property. This is my third GM truck, last was a 2003 Tahoe, and I forgot how nice a GM truck drives.
