New to the forum. I see a lot of questions about the LED bulb upgrades. I'd like to know if regular H-11's and 9005's LED bulbs will fit and work under my dust covers on my 2023 TB. If not do I need to go with the special Lasfit bulbs.

Need bulbs with second fan in dust cover, otherwise they will overheat, sooner or later

Ive been running them a few months without the fan on the dust cover and the cover installed. No issues but its just getting warm out. I can imagine it woupd be too bad. Lasfit did siggest to me the ones i have. They also offer a more premium one with dust fan.

Yes I saw the ones from Lasfit and cannot see myself spending over $350.00 for the Low and High beams. Thats crazy to me. I'd like to run their regular H-11 and 9005's but wondered about the heat under the dust cover.

The bulb swap game is pay to play for LED. No LED you swap in will be DOT compliant, but at least the high-end ones appear to have beam patterns that are actually targeted to use halogen reflector housings. Don't be that ass-hat who drops in amazon bulbs that blind oncoming traffic for the sake of a better appearance (and actually decreased performance). Easy solutions if you want better light is to put in some silverstar ultras, if you want a crisper looking bulb temp get zXes.

That said, I have done LED headlight swap in a euro car that were the LED best bulbs made for the specific application (and you still had to buy 'fog-lights' b/c the mfg didn't want to get caught marketing non DOT compliant swaps). These required quite a bit of adjusting to get right - so keep that in mind, it is a must. Even then, if I had done it over again, I would not have bothered with the LEDs and just stuck with high performance halogens which would have probably been even better performance wise (just didn't want to take apart the front end of a German car again, cause that was a major PITA).
