I know this was an issue with the 22 refresh, but I thought gm fixed the issue of the hoodscoop chipping the hood in the 4 corners. My 23 has fallen victim to this issue with less than 2000 miles on it. Anyone else with 23s or 24s seeing this issue?

It’s still a non rigid piece of plastic mounted too close to a painted metal surface so it’s still a problem😬

Well I went ahead and touched it up the best I could, but since it was clearly pulled paint and I had a huge chip down to metal it is only a matter of time it happens again. Waiting to hear back from the dealer... we will see.

This is a known issue. Take to dealer to fix under warranty.

Those of you who have had this fixed has the problem reoccured?

In the process of getting mine fixed. I'm probably going to repaint the front bumper as well, probably has 40+ rock chips in it already at 30K miles.

Did they repaint the entire hood and scoop when they repaired it under warranty?

Keep it under 25 mph and on paved ground and probably not an issue. :ROFLMAO: I personally would never get that hood for what I do.

They removed the scoop, repainted the entire hood and then installed the scoop with some type of new gasket to keep it from rubbing.

Can you share a picture of this fix. Is it still the Amazon tape fix?

There's nothing really to see. It looks the same as before the fix, except now the hood isn't damaged. Don't know what they used for the fix, but I have no complaints.

For those who have had this fixed by GM, did you get a loaner or rental car? The dealership I bought from is a small local place and they don't offer loaner vehicles. Shouldn't GM pay for me to have a rental for a few days for warranty work?
