Hey all, I know this topic has been beat to death all over these forums, and I have read many of the posts on this topic. With that said, I am having a hard time getting an unequivocal answer on if 295-70-18 Tires (such as DuraTracs) will fit without rubbing on a stock 2023 LT Trail Boss. I see many folks say no rub, and other say a bit of rub, etc. Does anyone know for sure or have any updates?

I am going to buy a new 2023 LT Trail Boss next week! Stoked! But trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance and sorry for bringing this up again.

I'm not sure about stock but mine is leveled and has 1.5in spacers and mine rubbed a bit and needed to have the fender liner bracket removed and the mudflaps trimmed a bit. 295/70/18 Mickey Thompsons

I can't say definitely either way. I have 285/75r18 Duratracs and had a little bit of rub. Mine are slightly narrower but taller than what you're looking at. I ended up doing a mud flap delete. Mud flaps might be your issue on the size you're looking at. Due to width you might also have a slight rub on the wheel well liner at full lock while reversing.

Thanks for that info. I was getting the impression from a lot of the other posts that 295-70-18 would fit on a stock TB without rubbing. I felt like most of the posts I read in other threads The majority of the people said they didn’t rub, so I’m glad I asked!

If any of you are running a stock TB with bigger tires that don’t rub let me know what size you are running!

Thank you

I have a 2021 that has zero extra lift and no spacers. I’m running 295/70r18 Toyo R/T Trails on the factory wheels. No rub what so ever. I did however have the Fox 2.0 Coil-overs installed at the same time. This should not have affected the suspension height at all.🤙🏼

Thanks for the info bud, I plan on running the factory wheels as well! So weird how one person gets rub with a 1.5" front lift (which I assume is on top of the factory 2" lift or no?) and you don't get any with the same size tire and a stock setup. That Toyo is a knobby tire too!

In my old 2012 Nissan Titan I had about 2" front lift and zero rubbing with 295-70-18 but as soon as I got new wheels with a slight bit of offset they rubbed.

If anyone else has info, keep em comin'

I also have a 23 LT TB and researched for 2 months on forums of tire companies and TB forums before buying tires. I think the issue/confusion with some not rubbing and some rubbing is the brand of tire and if its MT or AT tires. Some tires have a larger deep aggressive sidewall lug that will rub.
I finally decided on leveling my TB with 1.50 RC level kit with no wheel spacers and BFG "HD-TERRAIN AT KT" in LT285/75R18 "34.8in" tires and I have no rub on full lock forward or backwards. Very pleased with the height, ride and handling.

Thanks so much MrGoodwrench, your truck looks great! Where do we think a tire like Duratracs fits into that MT/AT tire conversation. Seems to me, they are somewhere inbetween...

I've used full MT tires on my old truck but I live in Mammoth Lakes, CA and we get lots of snow and have very sandy/pumice soil and I found the Duratracs handle better in both! Anyway, appreciate you and if anyone else has info let me know!

Here's a pic of Duratracs in 285/75r18 on a 2020 Trail Boss without a lift or level.

They did when I first got them, but only at full lock and reverse. That's one of the reasons I deleted the mud flaps shortly after. There was also a slight rub on the wheel well liner in the same scenario. I also don't have spacers. At 5,000 miles I rotated the tires doing a 5 tire rotation. All rubbing seems to have disappeared. I do not have wheel spacers installed. According to Tirerack.com 285/75r18 Duratracs are 35.1", not 34.8" like most other tires in that size.

As I said, my info came from TireRack.com. Here's a link. Scroll down and click on "Specs". Your issue isn't with me, so don't bother coming at me with your garbage. Your issue is with Tire Rack. Take it up with them.

295/70/18 Falken Wildpeak at3's on stock wheels with mud flaps removed (no delete kit, just plastic trim rivets held in the fender holes with black RTV) stock suspension and no spacers. Rubbed on the rear of the fender liner at full lock in reverse.

I have since added a 1/2" level to off set the weight of my bumper and winch and 1/4" wheel spacers to give me just enough room between the tire and upper control arm to run cable chains at slow speeds if needed. I still get an occasional minor tire to liner contact only in reverse. Overall I am extremely happy with the performance of this tire configuration. 🤙
