Hey guys,

Looking for some confirmation on my thoughts here after doing a ton of reading. The original duracraps are ready to be swapped out. I'm thinking of going with 295/70R18 KO2s mainly to fill out the wheel wells and reduced road noise compared to the duratracks. From my previous reading, this size seems like my best option given those objectives. I've ran KO2s on previous trucks and had great performance.

Has anyone mounted 295/70R18 KO2s on a bone stock trail boss? I've read a few mixed reviews on minor rubbing with this size from various tire manufacturers but have not seen anything on the KO2s. I know this topic has been discussed at length but looking for some confirmation here.

Thanks in advance!

Try putting it in this calculator with the offset of the wheel. It should show you a good picture of changes and hopefully you can gauge if it will work. I think you are looking at a 34.3" tire so I am imagining it will clear stock.

Provide your wheel information as well. In your situation, are these tires going to be on stock wheels?

Yes, bone stock 18" wheels.
Bone stock TB with no level on stock TB 18’s - will fit.

The only thing you have to pay close attention to is the Upper Control Arm. The backside of the tire is within a 1/2 or 1/4 inch distance away from the factory. With 11 1/2 wides, some people may have to run that size spacer behind the wheel if they have after market control arms.

If you’re not running a leveling kit, it should still be good. Steering at full-lock sometimes rubs with 12.5 inch width or more. Personally I doubt it will rub, but different brands of tires may do that. Some are fatter or more square than others.

I say, go for it.
