So I have these 35x12.50r20s on my truck. These tires look to small in my opinion. Should I go with a 35 inch actual mud tire or should I attempt to go up to a 37 all terrain? Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated

I would not go bigger in my opinion. Add a inch to each side of the tire and you will most likely have issues.

what is your current set up for suspension....

i run a Fox 2.5 set at 3.5" with an additional lower spacer ( probably 4" total height), and a Deaver Mini Pak in rear

on a 37" tire, it takes some MAJOR trimming as some would say....but in reality, there is a useless body mount protector ( if you will), behind your fender liner bracket...it will need to be cut off the truck

then the bumper needs to go forward about 1/2" ...or cut that too as most seem to hack up grossly

I’m not worried to much about rubbing I have a lot of it trimmed and all pulled back from running 22x12s on 35s. It’s just that I’m stuck on what to do bc these tires look small. Is it just because it’s an A/T instead of a mud tire?

I have a 2 inch bottom level on it and I’ve trimmed a lot and did that to be able to run a 22x12 on 35s. I just wanted to go back to a stock 20 with a 35 inch mud tire but these 35 inch A/Ts look small to me so I didn’t know if a mud tire would make these look better/more aggressive or if I would need to go up to a 37

these trucks have a large opening...one aspect i will mention....HOW NEW IS THE TIRE ?

a new tire with dep tread looks much ore filling than a worn tire.

here is mine with the same suspension on a 35, other than overall height...it really looks very similar

I mean these are brand new all terrains so I’m thinking i should go with a 35 actual mud tire like your saying and it’ll look more filled out. Maybe I’m just having tire dysmorphia😂

a more aggressive tire will change appearance, but if those are new...run them till you need a set then swap.

trust me....this is my 4th set up in 2 yrs....playing with a look is not cheap.
