Hi everyone, can anyone tell me where I can find the specific recall dates for the 6.2 oil issue??? I have a 21 TB and I have not received a recall notice, the door sticker has a build date of 11-20, I was wondering if it's part of the recall, thanks

GM is slow rolling the recall because they can’t support the number of engine replacements.

I check with my dealer every 3-4 weeks and it’s always been the same

He even sends me the GM screenshot that says “Incomplete, remedy not available”

thanks you guys, I will check my numbers, my truck has a build date of 11-02-20.

You are before the recall date. The L87 engines in question are from like March 2021 to about April of 2024. But I know for sure that you are before the bad engines in question. Potentially bad, I should add.

My dealer stated they can’t look at my truck until I get a letter from GM stating to schedule it. I have a 21 affecting by the recall. If in doubt, there is a website to enter your vin to see if your affected, sorry I don’t have it readily available to post it but you can find it via a google search.

I have the letter and my dealer says they have no solution and no direction from GM on an authorized fix. It looks to me like they will address them as they fail.

I have the same letter for my 24 TB with 9500. My dealer says the same thing but that was just before I got the letter just about a month ago.

I got a letter but that letter specifically stated that I was to wait for a second letter before any recall work would be done

I might have to read mine again lol

Lake just dropped another video claiming INCORRECT SURFACE FINISHES on the bearings IS the culprit....time for an alternate plan

GM is way behind the gun on this...very expensive to replace all, and try to keep up with the new.

drive it like you stole it, and hope she goes !

Rather it didn’t while going 70 :)

Dealership advises the recall for my engine isn’t open yet so they can’t do the test. Magically, all the 6.2 on their lot that needed the recall have been completed.

It also now needs a ECM update.

Hmmm

I was recieving the same info, so I called nee truck sales...asked about m trade value, he said they would test it go from there...I IMMEDIATELY request the GM and informed him of my responses and that I saw numerous used ones move from the lot....Informed him, his service staff was jerking me around....and magically, I have an open date to bring mine in.

Probably helps, that I have sent 3 coworkers to purchase new trucks already this year....
