5.3L 6 spd tranny.
I just got the truck and I'm experiencing a hang from 1 to 2 gear about 30% of the time, sometimes its 3rd gear around 10% of the time. I'm not sure if "hang" is the right way to describe but it feels like the throttle revs up during the shift but I'm not giving it additional throttle.
I had the same tranny years ago in 5.3 4x4 and it ran to around 260k miles before I sold it. The shifts weren't great but it was pretty bulletproof. I have a 3k warranty at my dealership. They've already performed a flush just before I purchased it, what else should I ask for to cover my ass?
For a 5.3L it runs really well outside of that hang up.
