So with a super-charged 6.2 in my TB, I am finding it harder and harder to find where they sell 93 octane gas. I can find 91 (no ethanol), however to get to 93+ I have to add octane booster for upwards of $10.00 a bottle for the three points. I have the "Find 93" app, however in WI you almost need to call ahead of time to make sure they do. Starting to miss my 5.3.... Kind of just complaining...

There is no 93 in my area as well. But they say that's due to the higher elevation. I have heard that lower octane is okay in higher elevation areas, and that your vehicle should operate the same with 91 octane at higher elevation as 93 octane at lower elevation. My truck runs perfectly well on 91, so it must be true.

Weird part is I'm in Michigan which is flat everywhere in the lower peninsula and depends on the gas station if they have 91 or 93 for premium. I ran rec fuel which has no ethanol but is 90 octane. Didn't see much difference in MPG or feel when driving. I tried regular 87 octane when gas shot up really high last year and my truck did not like it. Killed the MPG bigtime.

Agree, none in Idaho where I used to live, none here in AZ that I have noted. My GMCs and Frontier ran well on 91 or 89 depending on the engine.

Do an ethanol conversion and tune on it.
I just don't see myself doing that. I stay away from Ethanol as much as possible. I'm old school. Love race gas but at almost $9.00 a gallon for standard Sunoco race gas... $5.00 - $6.00 / gallon for street gas is not bad.

i would MAYBE, MAYBE consider ethanol for a heavily driven daily...just keep it flowing, but in my case, it would cause more harm than good.
i really want to tune my bike to it, just to help with cooling... but it doesnt see as much road time as i would like

I too miss the twin carburetors, the single 780 double pumper carburetor. Oh well there still there if I wanted too. Loved those days!

93 octane is a regular offering at Shell - at least it is here in Cleveland Ohio. 87/89/93 have been their offerings for years - I put 93 in my v-twin motorcycle. Filled the tank with 93 when I put her away for the winter last November.

I can 93 at almost every gas station here in the NY tri-state area but everything has ethanol. I would much rather run 91 ethanol free than 93 with ethanol.... in all my vehicles.
