AC Condensate Problem

So my 2024 TB LT that I recently purchased is dripping a considerable amount of water onto the left side of my transmission, cascading down the side of it onto the crossover sizzling like a fried egg! It's currently at the GM dealership where I bought it and they are saying it's normal! I call Bullshit! Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Condensate is caused by the coldness of the AC system meeting the moisture in the air. It is not created specifically "by" the system, like it leaking or something. It comes literally from the atmosphere around it. Bet the A/C feels great and the outside is miserable.

this is a NORMAL function...what is not normal, is how GM chose to allow it to drip and where...
just reroute or attach a longer hose to the drain, or park on a slope of differing angles.

but, yes...nearly all of these trucks do this...

I’ve noticed the same thing. It’s a little excessive. Sounds like it’s normal that’s good to know.

It can also be exaggerated by high humidity, Possibly GM wanted it to steam off vs puddle on the ground buy contacting the hot case of the tranny. I doubt it any big deal.

the lack of puddling may be something, but i highly doubt that was by design

it varies on angle to...of course, some spots it can miss and others it pours on to it

Perfectly normal and as mentioned above, it’s higher volume during times of high humidity.

My 2019 TB does it too. When I first got it, I thought there was something wrong with the wires and then I realized it sounded like water dripping on a hot pan. Took it to good year and asked them to have a look at it, they said it was normal for new Silverado's. Located in FL where its super humid here!

Like others have said, I experience it and did some asking around / searching when I first bought my 2021 TB. Seems to just be how it was designed.
