Question: Do 2023 TB models still have Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) included? I read that they had stopped including it for a period due to chip shortage. Trying to determine if my '23 5.3L V8 has it. Thank you.
My 22 refresh does not have it. Was built in September of 22.Question: Do 2023 TB models still have Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) included? I read that they had stopped including it for a period due to chip shortage. Trying to determine if my '23 5.3L V8 has it. Thank you.
I'll let you know. Have not had opportunity to do any long highway trips yet. What’s your best MPG listing so far? I want to test my theory lol
My best without it is 22.8What’s your best MPG listing so far? I want to test my theory lol
what type of terrain? flat, hilly, moderate? My best without it is 22.8
I would say moderate. I'm in PA and was traveling from the Lehigh Valley up into the Poconos. It was pretty much all highway driving with a few elevation climbs.what type of terrain? flat, hilly, moderate?
Holy crap. My truck with the 5.3 and Pulsar couldn't do 22.8 unless it was all downhill. My best without it is 22.8
I don't believe it was ever temporarily cancelled. I believe auto stop/start was temporarily cancelled due to the chip shortage, but that is back too. Your 5.3 will have DFM, Dynamic Fuel Management. The difference from AFM is that it will shut all the way down to two cylinders, whereas AFM only shut down to four.Question: Do 2023 TB models still have Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) included?
