Anyone have the Range technology AFM/DFM disabler? Thoughts/pros/cons?Looks kinda cheesy I can’t go crazy with a tuner due to warranty and cost. I spent almost $3k for a 100k bumper to bumper and would be pissed if I screwed that up.

I have had mine for about 6 months. No issues or codes. Works great to keep it in V8 always.

I got one for my '23 5.3 as soon as the refresh came out. It was worth it for the auto start/stop disable without having to remove the dash. So far, no issues, I like it. Used to jump in the truck and start pounding buttons, now it's get in and go except for the park brake. I figure it's better to turn it off than to drive away.

I did see where on some models, they still go to zero cylinder mode if you let off the gas and are coasting. I guess people who have put exhaust on their trucks don't enjoy the sound of this.

I installed mine on a 24 5.3 liter Friday. I drove the truck a couple of hundred miles over the weekend. It's early, but as of now it has been great.

I was going to get this for my 2024 thinking it was going to be a simple OBD2 plug in module like prior years, but no. This one you have to take off the drivers wheel and wheel well liner to access the computer then unlatch the harnesses and put this module inline. This turned me off because say my truck dies on me while driving, i am not going to be able to remove this device prior to the tow truck showing up to take the truck to the dealer and they will prob try to void my warranty if they find it.

If you have a Trail Boss there is NO need to remove the wheel and wheel well liner. You have to fold a small corner of the liner back and turn the wheel to lock on the left. That's it. 5 minutes to install. Easy as could be. No need for so much "install drama".

just curious...does it LOCK into the ECM as the factory plug does...or just the harness tot he module locks now.

The module is not in an ideal location compared to how they used to be plugged into the OBDII port under the dash. Also it is outside the vehicle and exposed to the elements, def not a plus by any means. Just saying not sure why they changed it for the worse. Either way, because of this I purchased the OBD Link version yesterday for $134 and it plugs in under the dash and also has scan tool capabilities. Hope it works as advertised, seems so from the reviews.

Hmmm, I wonder if/how this would work in my 22 that doesn't have DFM? I like the idea of scan and losing the ASS.(auto stop/start)

Anyone try any of the no name copy cats off of Amazon that are less than 100?

Seen a whole bunch that are on there, but many say they wont work on our trucks (19+) years. Which is kinda weird.

Hoping someone has read through all the fine print and found a knock off that worked.
