So, I ordered a set of amber lights that I mounted behind the grill. Stealing advice from members here I got a fuse tap and tied into fuse 40 (misc ignition) as others had done with success. Well, this didn't work; ignition on and truck running, lights wouldn't work.

So then I tied into the fuse for the left parking light as I decided I would prefer to have the amber lights on only when the full lighting system is on. This worked, but by accident I came to discover than my RIGHT parking light (passenger tail light) had stopped working. So, I remove the fuse tap, return the fuses to factory setup and low and behold, the tail light works again.

Two questions:
1. Anyone know why this would have occured? Are LED lights (2022 LT LTD Trail Boss) that voltage sensitive that tapping a fuse would cause problems?
2. Any suggestion as to which fuse to tap to power the amber lights without causing issues?

Another thing I have noticed. My automatic lights work correctly, full lighting comes on at dusk. But... If it is still light out so that only the daytime accent LEDs are on in the front, and I turn my light switch to "corner markers" only, the full lighting system comes on. There is no difference between lights position 1 (corner markers) and position 2 (full lighting).

I would be interested in seeing what some of the others have done but for now I have been okay with them just being on when the key is in the ignition.

Yes I have a custom. I tap into a misc one but they are just one when engine is one not when you unlock or anything which is what I would like to have
