Hello all. I just joined the forum. I had no idea it existed. I have a 2020 Trail Boss LT with the 6.2 and painted in Northsky Blue. I am the original owner, and bought it in July 2020. I have done quite a bit of things to it, have more on the list do to, and currently engaged in a few projects too. I found this forum while researching info about wheel spacers and the Readylift 2" kit. The info was very helpful. I then lurked around to see what else there was and found the membership here to be very informative, so I decided to join. I love this truck, and hope to keep it for over 300,000 miles and 20+ years. As for my username, I believe it describes my life accurately. Due to my wife's career I move every 3 years on average. For example, 3 weeks after buying my truck in Virginia I was moving to California. I'm now about to move to Florida.

If you want to know more about me or my truck, feel free to ask. I'm here to share knowledge too. Here's a pic of when I first brought my truck home from the dealership. It's a different beast now, but I haven't taken a pic of it.

Welcome to the forum. A wealth of information on here!

Thank you. The trailer mirrors came with the truck. I would've preferred the regular mirrors, but when I purchased my truck there was nothing available because the factories had just reopened from closing for COVID in early 2020. I took a huge gamble and bought the truck sight unseen, and no test drive of any Silverados or Sierras at all. A lot of second guessing about the risks I was taking, but I pushed forward and I'm glad I did. The alternative was keeping my purple Saturn Outlook. No thanks. Anyways, dealership lots were empty. This was just one of the few inbound that weren't already sold. It arrived 3 weeks after signing the paperwork. This one checked all the boxes except for the mirrors. It's a small trade off. I don't really mind them, but I wish the truck came with more features, among them power fold and extend with side cameras. Not sure I want to sink the money into upgrading though. I've dealt with them for 3 years so far, so I think I'll manage.

I happen to like that color! I like the looks of the Outlook, but not a FWD biased SUV. Ex wife had a 2013 GMC Acadia Denali that used the old Outlook main body.
As for the Silverado, I didn't test drive one either, I just was looking for one and ended up special ordering mine because the dealer had an open allocation and couldn't find what I was looking for. It came in in 5 weeks from when I ordered it. It was at the dealer on May 20, 2021.

Im sure someone would trade their small mirrors for your big ones.
I've had a lot of offers, including ridiculous money for the truck because of the mirrors. One person even offered $80k. I told him if the check cleared I'd sell him the truck. I see no point in swapping to the regular mirrors when I still won't have the tech package for front and rear sensors, etc. Besides, I'm thinking about building a trailer from scratch. I'm thinking utility trailer/toy hauler style with separated axles that sit under the leaf springs and have matching Trail Boss wheels & tires. Wife seems on board with the idea since she'll be able to decorate the interior. Who knows if I'll actually do it? If I do I think the towing mirrors will come in handy.

The engine was garbage on the Saturn. My wife and I were given it free after my father in-law died. His wife (not my mother in-law) didn't want it and ended up buying a smaller car. The engine started going right after I received it. Dealership recommended an injector cleaning service, which I agreed to not knowing it has been done shortly before I received the car. This made the engine worse. We bought the Silverado because we were moving from Virginia to California and didn't think the Saturn would survive the trip. With that said, my wife drives a 2017 Chevy Traverse. It's been a good car, and is the final year of that 1st generation body style. I do love the Trail Boss way more than the Saturn, too. Tomorrow it gets loaded up for the move to Florida.
