Generally love the truck, and get that GM blocks certain features for upper trims (still annoyed some are not even an option on an LT Trail Boss), but below are a few nits on the stock configuration while I try to figure out retrofits or decide they are unnecessary/overly complex/impossible. Talking about a 2022+ Refresh LT Trailboss.
Auto High Beams - Annoyed that the intellibeam function will not function if you are running the fog lights. Other cars I have had are able to cycle off the fogs when the auto high beams come on to comply with certain state regs (Va I think?). Boost auto parts have some kits that seem to allow for a workaround - just not sure I like the idea of putting T taps on the factory harness. Will think this one through.
Auto Wiper Blades (Rain Sense) - yep we don't have them, didn't really check in my test drive as it was nice and sunny and would have bought truck regardless. I see that the AT4 and probably higher trim chevy's have them. Coming from many many years of cars and trucks that had them, I forgot how handy the feature is. We seemingly already have the necessary sensor on the dash, but not sure. Probably not something that will be able to retrofitted, but I would like to.
Auto volume control (speed sensitive) - this one is just straight puzzling and hopefully there is an OTA update from GM. The new fancy infotainment system for whatever reason does not have this even though it has been on even lower trim chevy trucks for years... Would be mighty helpful with the hum of these druratracs. I find myself constantly adjusting the volume control on the steering wheel going from 0 - 25 - 55 and back to a stop multiple times every day on my commute.
Auto dimming mirrors - higher trims have this I know, and in past model years it seems it was an easy swap (at least for the windshield mount rearview, think the harness was already there). Not been able to find if swapping in the factory one from a higher trim will be possible on these refreshes without more extensive wiring for the power supply for the center - and I have not seen anyone try yet for the driver's side to swap out the glass. To be honest have not yet noticed too much of a need around town (helps that we are higher up than most) but I have not gone on extended nighttime highway trips to know how the glare is from semis.
Adaptive cruise control - actually no complaints here. I bet you thought this was going to be all complaints. Frankly I think this system is the better one I have personally used. The follow distance on the closest setting seems to do a good job of keeping others from 'cutting-in' (unlike my wife's Subaru which is practically useless).
Seatbelt chime - this one doesn't quite fit in with the rest, but annoying nonetheless. Yes I have turned off the absurd buckle to drive function, but I have always tried to defeat the chime in past vehicles for when I am just making my way through a parking garage or similar and need to unbuckle to reach a keypad or such multiple times at a stop or very slow speeds. Disclaimer - I wear a seatbelt when actually driving religiously, but don't need a nanny yelling at me when I am basically idling in a parking lot. Haven't been able to find if there is a 'backdoor' way to disengage this warning (series of button pushes, etc.) for our refreshes.
