Does anyone like the way this system works? I find on winding roads where oncoming vehicle lights come and go as they approach causes an annoying amount of "flashing" from the high beams.
A good idea in principle, but I don't find I need high beams on just because there are no cars in front of me.

Winding roads can be a problem since they go on with no head or tail lights in front and go off when there are lights. Thus on a winding road they are on/off a bit too much. I have learned to either live with it or go into manual mode like the old days.
And I'm guessing winding roads in CAN can be ad treacherous as they are in AZ, CO, ID, WY where I commonly drive due to all the large animals that like to go out at night and play.

Functionality does leave a little to be desired in those above mentioned situations but open highway at night or straight and narrow backroads here in Oklahoma and I do like having the feature.

My automatic high beams are currently turned off and I cant figure out how to get them back on. 😆

Double click the high beam stem quickly 2 times while in auto headlight mode.

oddly enough, this is the one system feature i actually do like. i like how it cancels itself when it notices others lights...i even like that is disables when i am running my Yellow Fogs (wired into the factory switch)

I've actually been pretty impressed by this system. I live in the NYC Metropolitan area, with all the traffic that implies, and I have yet to see this system flash or blind oncoming traffic. Yeah, on dark & twisty roads it can pop on and off more than I'd like. But it's 100% better than those weak OEM halogen low-beams.

Maybe I'll give it a little more of a chance. Truth is, I hardly ever drive the truck at night as it is, so haven't had many prolonged experiences with it.

There is a pushbutton at the end of the signal light stem. I believe intellibeam won't engage if the fog lights are on either.
I just went and looked at my truck and there is if fact a pushbutton at the end of the light stem. Didn’t even notice this. The owners manual does not even mention or show a button at the end of the light stem.

This is one feature that my 2021 TB LT does not have that I wish it does. Our 2019 Tahoe LT has it and I find it to be a godsend on the winding backroad that dominate the parts of NY where we live. Yes, it does result in the brights turning on an off, most often off for oncoming traffic and back on when there is no oncoming traffic. The alternative is that either am lazy and do not use the high-beams when I probably should, or I am late to dimming them when I encounter an oncoming vehicle.

Adaptive cruise control and lane detection I am happy to live without, but would love to find a way to add automatic brights.

High-Beam Systems
IntelliBeam System
If equipped, this system turns the high-beam
headlamps on and off according to surrounding
traffic conditions.
The system turns the high-beam headlamps on
when it is dark enough and there is no other
traffic present.
Turning the IntelliBeam System On and Off
To enable the IntelliBeam system, turn the
exterior lamp control to AUTO or 2, then
press b on the turn signal lever. If it is not
dark enough outside, the high beams may not
turn on.
Depending on the vehicle model, the
following displays when the IntelliBeam
system is enabled:
• b displays on the instrument cluster
• Auto High Beam Active message displays in
the Driver Information Center (DIC)
To disable the IntelliBeam system, turn on
the manual high beams or use the Flash-to-
Pass feature. See Headlamp High/Low-Beam
Changer 3 143 and Flash-to-Pass 3 143.
More in the manual.

The push button on the end of the stalk works just fine for the intellibeam on/off feature. Just verified.
