Man these Duratracs are brutal with noise. Unbearable with 50k miles…wanting to get rid of them. I don’t do a lot of off-roading anymore, and got a job with a further travel distance to and from work, so I’m looking at saving a bit on fuel mileage. Obviously I’d prefer a rugged looking tire but I need something quieter and with better (or equal) fuel economy. Any recommendations?

The Falken Wildpeak AT3W look great amd perform well on and off road.
Lots of people like the Nitto Ridge Grapplers also.
Do some searching- tons of info online as well as reviews. Good luck.

Check out the BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A. Might be what you’re looking for.
About $250 for stock TB size.

Thanks guys. Anyone go with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S? It’s not the same knobby or chunky style, but can get a great deal on them right now.

That’s a great tire if you want a nice ride on pavement and occasional dirt roads.
Might look a litter weird on a TrailBoss but that’s up to you.
Good luck👍

I like cooper maxx. But have heard some guys having trouble getting them to balance. Also like cooper at3's

295/70 speedo reading vs 275/65 actual

I’ve had the Ridge grapplers on a previous 2016 2500 and they were kind of quiet.. I may have to try the Falken or Cooper at3

I just replaced my duratracs with Firestone destination a/t2. $950 installed at Costco.
The manager didn’t want to replace my 11k miles tires cuz they were still good. I said they’re so loud and horrible in the rain. He said the firestones were loud too. I researched a ton on tire rack and the noise and other ratings were good.
Took it home and drove a couple miles, up to 65. These things are silent, I can hear the engine and everything else. They still have aggressive looking treads and nice white outlined letters if you choose to face them out.

I've had those Michelins on a 2001 Tahoe and a 2007 F150. Both with 20's.
Best tire I've ever owned. Smooth, quiet, and an honest 80k miles.
Sure, they look a little pup compared to some others, but they are really great.

Great tire. I had them on a Suburban.
I like the look of an aggressive tread so wouldn’t put them on my TB but definitely on a stock truck or suv👍
