Biggest tire on stock boss

I Installed these Cooper Discoverer AT3 295/70R18 today. There is a slight amount of rub at full wheel lock. Also, Pep Boys warned me that I can hit the wheel liners if I hit a large bump. I am having a 1 1/2" front leveling kit from Rough Country installed next Monday that I hope solves both issues.

Nitto Trail Grapplers 33x12.50x18LT. Fit great and look great.
I was thinking of installing the exact same tires, you have no issues with the tires rubbing when you turn the wheels fully? Did you have to trim anything?

Fun Fact: 295/70R18 tires are 34" tall and 11.6" wide. If you put these on your TB, then you will need a control module like the Pulsar LT that can adjust the speedometer to match changes to the tire diameter.

Super interested in the answer. I run these on my 17 Silverado with a 2.5 inch level lift. Other than that stock wheels no spacers very slight rubbing full turn.

Is it rubbing on the inside or outside? Try it without the spacers. There may be less rub.
Was rubbing at full lock on inside of front mud flaps, trimmed as seen below. Tires can still come in contact with wheel liner in reverse at full lock but no noise with mud flap trim.

You will also get slight variation in tire size based on brand, a 295/70r18 by Nitto can vary slightly compared to a Falken or Goodyear

Just added Rough Country's 1.5" front leveling kit. I am happy to say I now have zero rubbing with the Cooper 295/70R18 on stock wheels. Next, I'll add 1.5" spacers to my wheels for just a little poke.

I have the original OEM 18" wheel without spacers with Cooper 295/70R18 and the clearance is 1/2" to upper control arms.

That’s size I’m looking for my TB on the factory 18’s... don’t see how some are running 35/12.50’s without spacers to avoid contact with control arms

They get negative offset wheels or wheel spacers and risk rubbing the wheel liners or mud guards. Most have additional lift to help with overall clearance. A 1.5" front level kit gives the front wheels a little more clearance.

agree ,..it’s the ones that post that they accomplish fitting them on the stock 18’s... maybe running tires that run small... how did you notice your truck after going up to the 295’s... did you get much loss of acceleration ...or any other changes ? Thanks

I installed a Pulsar LT module at the same time to calibrate the speedometer. The Pulsar LT does many other cool, must have, things to improve the TB's performance to include a 1-5 adjustment to throttle response. There may be a loss of accelaration stock but I saw a huge gain in response with just making the accelerator pedal more responsive on my 6.2.

I read a lot of go things about the Pulsar LT... I had the installed the pedal commander on my 2017 Sierra I had .... it would pop check engine light codes and just took it off ... any said issues with the LT?
