Bird went THROUGH my grill

Im driving on a city street about 45 MPH and BANG! I didn't even know what I hit. I pull over in a parking lot and see a broken grill right under the hood latch and feathers. The bird was down lower in the louvers. I had to pull off the top cover at home to get the damn thing out of there. It was a friging quail that is going to cost me 500 bucks for a new grill insert. I'm so pissed! I am hard enough on this rig as it is. I don't need a bird tearing up!

I'll do ya one better. This is one of my company's 2019 Silverados after a bird strike this past spring. This was a turkey. Pushed the rad back a good 4 inches.

Sorry about your truck though, if it's any consolation it's not to difficult to replace the grill.

Luckily this one was small and didn't do any damage. I hit a vulture before in my 03 Blazer and it destroyed the grill I had just put in after some idiot backed into me in a parking lot and broke the stock one.
