Hi TB folks-

Has anyone ever upgraded there mirrors to include the blind spot safety feature? I think that the larger towing style mirrors have this but I'm
looking for the mirrors that look like the stock OEM ones. They currently are heated but that's it. Thanks in advance! - Dave

This also requires sensors in the rear of the truck, not sure it would be an easy or worthwhile upgrade.

Grab a set of these, I trust my eyes more than I trust the blindspot monitor systems.

It comes with a “safety “ package and uses the rear bumper parking sensors tied into the BCM. The $3 mirror mentioned above works better 👍

I don't think it uses the parking sensors, there's radar modules in behind the bumper steps specifically for the blindspot system.

Has anyone just changed out the mirror glass on the passenger side before? How hard is it? Item show is from Amazon.

6 plastic clips hold the mirror on, make sure you don't do it on a cold day.

I removed my bumper steps to access my exhaust tips and didn’t see any electronics in there? But then again Im usually 50% wrong 1/2 the time🤣

The sensor is in tail lights

Well that's not true.

The sensors are behind the bumper near the step cutouts. My wife has the truck or I'd go take a picture.

Mine are under the hood in the windshield washer fluid container🤣

This is a sensor harness, the sensors are the rectangular parts.

That's a better track record than I have. Just ask my wife.

Nope. If they do it's for LTZ or High Country trims. Definitely not on Trail Boss. Trail Boss trailering mirrors are plain. Only power feature is the upper glass, and it has defrost. Manual fold, manual extension, manual retract, manual convex mirror. Worst part is, getting these mirrors means you lose a technology package for parking sensors, 360° camera, blind spot detection, memory seats, cooled seats, rearview camera mirror, etc. You don't even get the necessary hardware installed on the rear bulkhead behind the backrest of the back seat.

The yellow X is the location of the radar unit, fastened to the back of the bumper step inside a protective cover. .
