Any one have any experience with this muffler? I am just looking to add a bit more rumble to my stock 5.3. From what I can tell from watching videos and reading reviews, this is a bit louder than stock, has a nice deep rumble and sound like it wakes up when you stomp on it. I do not want anything extremely loud, no snapping popping etc. I am just looking to have a shop replace the factory muffler with this one and that is it.

I went with MBRP, cat- back not to loud. Definitely hear it when you get on it.

I replaced the muffler with the AFE Apollo and love the sound. I didn't want anything loud, just a mellow throaty sound and this one did the trick. Also removed the flapper. At slightly over $200 not a bad deal.

I went with the borla S type cat-back 140770BC on my truck sounds great. Installation was easy, except for getting the factory trim off of the bumper for the new tips, how to get creative with my air ratchet to get to couple of the bolts

I did exactly that and been happy with it for the last 2 years… you will need to cover the 6 mesh resonators at the tail pipes or it will be very quiet…

Glad you like it. Yeah I don't want anything too loud, just want it to sound like a truck. What kind of tape did you use to cover the resonators?

Beer cans cut to fit square openings and clamps .. it works … I later purchased band clamps from Amazon .
