I’m guessing this is my born on date?
Or is there another one somewhere with the actual day stamp?

My goal was for information only.
It’s not uncommon for vehicle manufacturers to make revisions at any moment during a production year based on market feedback, issues, whatever.
It’s good to know if your particular vehicle would or would not be affected by developing issues.
A quick example is the Harley M8 motor and its 5 or so oil pump revisions. Production dates dictate the start of a given revision.
I’m not up to speed on the Silverados.
And, relying on the manufacturer to issue a recall is a lost cause.
I only wanted a more defined date for future reference.

I’d be curious too, if you do end up figuring out where you can find the build date of our trucks.

Definitely, especially since some trucks got certain chips, or features depending on what window of time they were built.

This worked a couple years ago.

Send a message to socialmedia@gm.com with your vin and they will email you a pdf file of your build sheet with the day of the month produced + every option......Took a few hours to get a response with mine.

I’ve seen on a few forums this doesn’t work anymore or that you have to reach out to GM archives and they charge for the service now. Not sure on the accuracy of that info though. Also seen if you have a good relationship with your dealer/service department that with your vin they also can get you a build sheet 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have you tried going on the Chevrolet website and using the chat function? Copy and paste your VIN and ask for date of manufacture.
The chat was helpful when I was over excited to find out if my truck was scheduled for production, they seemed to have all that info easily on hand, so... worth a shot.

Lmao. Just tried the chat thing and gave them my vin.
Door sticker says 08/23.
Dude at Chevy said it was built on October 31st.
It was on the dealer lot well before that. I signed papers on the 31st.

Just received another email. Gentlemen corrected himself.
Truck was built 5 Aug., 23.
