BOSE Amp Upgrade from factory on non-BOSE model trucks?

Has anyone thought about upgrading from the factory AMP to the BOSE amp and then upgrading the speakers?

Looks to be plug and play.

Hmm, guess no one? It may be plug and play, but when I install my aftermarket OEM fog light kit, I'll look into this. There may be a 'Bose' unlock code that needs entered.

I do admit that not having the Bose this time after having it in my 2018 has been a bigger downgrade than I thought.

So, through eBay alone, I've found the Standard and Bose amps.

The Standard Amp has an additional connection to it from the side, and another connection visible from underneath on the back side from where the other connectors are. I'm not sure what these are for though.

They bolt hold the same footprint, so presumably both would mount to the same location, so it's not a tandem type deal.

Further research is needed.
