Purchased a Pulsar LT and some say you need to run a catch can along with the pulsar.
Thoughts?

No idea what the Pulsar has to do with a catch can. I put a catch can on mine because I've seen lots of info that it is helpful on gasoline direct injection motors.

I ran the Pulsar LT for a while without a catch can, didn't have any problems. I am wondering if that rumor circulated from running your engine in permanent V8 mode and maybe the engine gets more oil into the upper part of the engine when in permanent V8 mode? Either way, my vehicle ran just fine without the catch can and having the Pulsar LT installed.

Along that line, I have a Hypertech calibrator and JLT catch. Both do great, like others said no idea why they would be connected. Do as you want !

Also have the JTL catch can. Emptied it the first time after 3000 miles use just recently. See photos to see what would have gone through my engine were it not for the catch can.
