Changing brake pads.

Hey y’all. Looking for a write up on changing the pads. I’ve found a few videos. One containing the process on the fronts. Clips and pins then remove the pads. Without ever touching the calipers. Also several stories about throwing codes after the install. Any help would be appreciated.

I found this video helpful. I'm sure by now you have already done your brake job so please update us on your process and problems you ran into? I didn't know there was a brake mode that you had to do first. I find it stupid for GM to not mention any of this in their manual. I am set to replace my front pads soon as they are more worn down then the back. I'll do the backs at a later time when the pads are more worn.
