I can’t take credit for this $10 mod but I think it’s pretty cool.

Got the plastic caps on Amazon. Had to slice about 3/16 inch off the bottom so it wouldn’t bottom out.
Keeps dust/dirt/mud from filling the top of the UCA and gives it a finished look👍

The Rough Country arms for my Avalanche and my Silverado both came with cap plugs to cover the ball joints.

honestly, other than aesthetics, they dont do much. the dirt just lays on top of the pocket ( yes it sucks, and pain to clean...but my guess would be cost and availability).

at the end of the day, wipe the zerk and grease...what would bother me, would be looking at them during a cleaning session and realizing they were nicked from removal to grease.

i have no issues with getting my junk filthy, using it and wrecking it...but when i clean it... i like it all to look showroom new.

Thank you for this. The lack of a cover for the zerk fitting was a minor irritation to me, but still an irritation nonetheless. I'm OCD, and little things like this bother me.

i agree, they cant be but 30 cents if bought in bulk. they could charge 5$ more and i wouldnt care if they would come with....

The kit retails at over $600. What's another $5-$10? Amazon says my caps will arrive tomorrow. Just another thing sitting off to the side until I have time to get the ReadyLift kit installed, lol.

And they could put their logo on the cap for free advertising. The decal on the UCA is barely visible.

But, what are stay at home moms with cricut vinyl sticker cutter machines suppose to do when we aren't buying their vinyl stickers off Ebay or Amazon?
