Chevrolet lied to me (and maybe to you)

I have been patiently waiting almost a year for a notice from Chebby that the "chip" needed to activate my back-up and pedestrian alert systems (the beeps and brakes) could be activated.

So yesterday I'm backing in to park and......."beep, beep, beep", Works!
Go forward just to see, and....beep, beep, brakes...it works too!

An over-the-air remedy, after 354 days....?

What chip shortage?

Sounds like they didn’t want to “chip” in for the cost of the software.

I called no one...

Bought truck August, '22
MSRP says "Credit-not equipped with rear park assist; includes later retrofit." MSRP shows a $50.00 credit.

Dealer said repeatedly that I will receive a letter when necessary 'chip' was available.....nada.

Then, poof! Working.

Go figure.....
