Colorado Trail Boss Owners!

What are the best off-road places in Colorado that could be traversed by a newbie offroader?

There’s a lot of newbie friendly stuff off of range road and also woodland park by Colorado Springs.

I’m free most weekends if anyone in the denver area wants to link up

The most recent Recovery launched by volunteers of the Offroad Recovery Portal was in Gordon Gulch Campground, just North of Nederland. This is just West of Boulder, and up into the foothills. It is an area that I have been frequenting since 1993. I'm a volunteer member, but I was busy when the call went out for this recovery.

Here is a really useful Map/Guide to off road trails. This link should bring up the area West of Denver ... I think.

The difficulty of trails, their open/closed status, and scenery along are provided.

oh, and ... cool, a Colorado section. I have seen A LOT of Trail Boss trucks in the Boulder area since I bought mine.

Just starting to see more refreshed TB's here.
Fortunately there are lots of great fire roads all over CO that take you to amazing locations, and are easy to maneuver. As vezePilot says, grab yourself an off road trail map/App and have fun!!

Colfax on a Saturday night......straight down the sidewalk at 50 mph.......
Wow, really? One of the reasons I am active on this board is because it is so positive. Seems to me most guys here are looking for good information or sharing their own tips and experience. Their is a TB facebook groop full of whiners and guys bad mouthing each other and the trucks. I am sure some of them would appreciate your domestic terorism joke more than I did. And if that comment makes you think I am some politicaly correct kind of guy pushing my opinions you would be wrong.

I think this was intended for Chevrolet Colorado trail boss midsize truck owners.... but id love to know about some Colorado state trail boss owners too lol

What's up fellas! Just relocated to the Springs, and im itching to get some dirt on the tires and some thin air in my lungs. Registered with AllTrails this morning and I'm gonna load up the family tomorrow morning and go see some sights. Does anyone have any good recommendation or doing something similar?

Welcome to the forum Mulf0014!

The thing with this Volunteer Offroad Recovery Portal is that recoveries are not easy to plan around.

So we got a call today ... folks slid off the road in snow on a mountain road near Georgetown, CO. About an hour away.
What was I planning to do today ... ?
