After many years I sometimes get bored with modern tools. So a coupla years ago I bought a Flintlock rifle.
And It's kinda Odd ... when I mention this, people obviously have to think for a second on what the word "flintlock" means.

I want to get a flintlock rifle but I just got the m4 “civilian model” which is the one on the back of the tailgate, but that looks like a really nice rifle your holding.

The two flintlock rifles I bought are low-end Traditions 50 caliber, made in Spain. These are about $500 each. And they are not a quality rifle.

What I should have bought is a Jim Kibler Kit rifle. Not much more money, and you have to build it. But you can end up with the finest flintlock rifle available.
I would get a 54 caliber Colonial model from Jim, replicating a rifle circa 1760.

I’ll have to check it out, thanks!
