Hey all, I took my truck off road last week, and starting a few days later my rear suspension has been “creaking”. I noticed a lot of mud/dirt buildup on the leaf springs and the suspension. I power washed it off and the creaking went away, only to come back later that day. I’ve now washed underneath the truck three times, each time the noise goes away only to come back. Any ideas what I’d going on? Thanks

It’s normal for these leaf springs in our trucks… water and lubricants will temporarily silence the noise.
Thanks for the reply. Is there more of a permanent solution besides lubricant? Thanks

Mine drives me nuts. Sounds like a piece of trash when going over speed bumps or even bumps in the road. Embarrassing.

My U-bolts had lost torque. I caught it. Inquired to dealership. They retorqued. Was better/quieter for a while. Now it's noisy again. Might have to replace the u bolts ) and the spring inserts. At my cost... 🤦🏻‍♂️

My 24 started creaking about 2 weeks ago at 7k miles. I sprayed fluid film on the underside which included some suspension components like 2 months ago and went off-roading like a month ago, was thinking one of those 2 things was the cause but seems its just a normal Chevy thing 😑

I had my 22 checked out for this last oil change. Creaking was brutal! I mentioned the TSB and was charged $120 for re-tourqing bolts. Was surprised by the charge with still being under warranty. It has stopped the squeaky rear tho. I won't return to this stealership again.
