Visited my local Discount Tire looking for larger tire to run with stock suspension and wheels.

They recommended Nitto Ridge Grappler in 295/70/18?

Anyone share their experience with this size?

Based on what I’ve seen you’ll most likely need mudflap delete and rear of the front fender liner pulled back. I never ran this size on my 1500 but was the size I was gonna go with. I’m sure others will chime in 👍🏻

I just installed 295/65R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers at a Mod shop. They had to adjust the caster to pull the front tires forward because they rubbed on the backside of the wheel housing. They did not recommend going any larger than that.

From what I have read, you will want to swap out the control arms or chance the ball joint failing. I have no firsthand knowledge of this, just what others have said.

I have a buddy with a stock '21 TB custom and discount tire told him the same. He put on 295 70 18 nitto ridge grapplers and they fit with no rub. He's been running that setup for about 40k miles with zero issues.

I wanna say at the 295/70/18 it depends on the tire you pick, LZammit3 has his buddy on that tire size no rub but I have that tire size on the the Terra grappler G3's and had to trim the very inner of my front mud flaps but I am on an 18x9 with a 0 offset wheel.

That’s only if lifted/leveled over stock height. OP mentioned stock suspension. Plus if lifted/leveled with aftermarket control arms the 295/70 has less chance of fitting without spacers since most aftermarket control arms are beefier.

I am surprised they even offered it. Around here they will only put on the stock size. Hats off to you!
