Going to be pulling a 20’ bass boat with my trail boss. Everything on the truck is stock….what size of a drop is recommended for the hitch? I’ve used a 3 1/4” but I feel like it should be maybe 4”. Any advice?

Id get the adjustable one. Can't go wrong. Haul any trailer.

I have a 4" drop on my TB and it seems to do fine with my bass boat, motorcycle, and utility trailers. But different trailers pull different as far as weight distribution. If the trailer is level with whichever drop hitch you decide on, it would be better. Just my .02.

Ummm. Depends on trailer , google measuring for drop

The 4 inch drop should be about right, the adjustable drop hitch is the best solution though..

As most of you know, I recently purchased a 24 TB and am pretty set on buying the B&W tow and stow hitch for it. They sell it with a 5" drop for traditional tailgate design (which I have) or they have a 4.5" drop version made to work with the MP tailgate, but it costs $100 more. I know that I don't currently need the one made to work with the MP tailgate, but my thinking is that if I buy that one it would work now and in the future should I ever purchase a truck with the MP tailgate. It seems like I'm overthinking it, but as expensive as the hitch is already, I'm leaning towards "buy once cry once" ......Your thoughts? Is the 4.5" or 5" drop adequate for most needs?

just make sure you take it out when not in use....no need for the MP version. Not to mention, why leave it in ??? i get it, people are lazy.
