Quick question all - I haven’t found the answer anywhere so responses would be awesome….

I have a mud flap delete kit I want to install but also have a set of OEM fender flares I want to install - before I pull everything off the truck - does anybody know if I can do both? I may be down to trim if needed…. Rough County mud flap delete and the Air Design low profile fender flares.. Uber curious if anybody has experience with these…

Thanks in advance everybody!

Ironically, I would like to know the answer too. The only difference is I have the McGaughy's mud flap delete kit. I really like the look of the Air Design fender flares and debating if I should buy them next month or get something else on my shopping list for the truck.

depends on the flare itself, som ehave the relief to retain the stock flap... some do not.

my front flares dont, but the rear was relieved AROUND the front flap...makes no sense. they will be getting replaced very soon.

I do not think the RC will work. I remember researching that myself and saw a pic somewhere where they had the RC pieces laid out beside the oem flaps removed and the shape was clearly different.

Do you still have the oem mud flaps? If so compare them side by side with the delete kit. Unless they are same dimensions they won’t fit right as the air design flares fit pretty much flush with the mud flap shapes

Sure do - I was hoping to not remove yet but looks like I need to compare - thanks for the reply!

Just get regular flares that cover the holes. Cheaper and better looking. I have Rough Country SF1 flares and the only thing I have left is the rear plastic piece that wraps under the bedside.

Unfortunately, I do not. They went right into the garbage. I saw no point in keeping them, and had no desire to deal with selling them.

i keep leaning this way, but the stock Zr2 flares, dont have the little WING on the rear...not a huge fan of that, but i do prefer this look.
For what it’s worth, that little wing (RIP Jimi ) is barely noticeable, but if absolutely hate it, might be different story.
