Hi all. Has any installed a flag pole mount for your truck? I’ve seen a few aftermarket product that you have to screw into the bed frame. I’m wondering if there is a way to use the bed rail stake locations

Here in Michigan you have to have the flag mount on the front of the vehicle. I haven't seen anything yet and it would all have to be custom made.

I’ve seen a handful that mount to the bed frame . Just don’t want to drill into it.

Is that actually in MI code? Flag on front waving back and forth could (most likely will) cause sight interference for the driver. I ask since I used to live in MI and had friends who had flags mounted to the rear; however, having been born and raised, until I escaped for good, I would have no doubt a code like this might have been passed by the MI legislature.:geek:

What about rear hitch mounted options? No drilling and easy enough to install and remove?

Michigan DNR requires the flag be 10' from the ground when mounted at a standstill. Must be safety orange, rectangular in shape and a solid material. For "sit in" automotive style seating, the flag must mount to the front most portion of the vehicle. For motorcycles/quads/3 wheelers it must mount on the rear of the vehicle.

I found this place that has a clamp on mount that mounts to the front tow hook. They also have a vertical style for HD trucks.

These ones are way cheaper but look like something you could make with some scrap metal if you have the right size laying around.

Stupid requirement, but then that is the reason the ONLY thing I have ever missed after escaping from MI is Greenfield Village in October.
