Flowmaster 40 series install

I replaced the stock exhaust and removed the flapper with a Flowmaster 40 series muffler. I like it but don’t quite love it. I wish it was a little louder. I’m 50 years old, not a young man anymore, just saying for perspective purposes.
I have the 5.3 with the 6 speed transmission. Some people have complained about an “attack helicopter”sound when the DFM or AFM kicks in after removing the flapper but I haven’t heard anything like that.

Attack helicopter isn’t the worse sound that comes to mind. Might just do this to make my 6.2 sound like an Apache

I put the Borla s type exhaust on mine and love it.

Can you post a video I’d like to hear how it sounds. My other truck (GMC) has a maga a flow it sounds great. I did want a bit louder. I think the flow master would be louder.

I just ordered that muffler, should have it installed next week some time. Hopefully it sounds good. I've used the 40 before on other cars and loved it.
