Hey guys! Just joined the forum and I'm asking here, has anyone swapped the rear diff gears on there trucks yet? I have a 2019 Chevrolet silverado custom trail boss with the 5.3L V8 and 6l80e. Is there any gears avaliable for my year, engine and transmission for a swap?

Unless you’re adding over 37in tires, really not necessary to lower the gear ratios in the diffs.

I'm not lifting my truck. I'm looking to get better acceleration and from what ive seen gears can make a difference when it comes modifying these trucks. Currently on i believe 33s and my 3.42s still feel sluggish and idk how much a Tune can make a difference while running the stock gears. I'm looking for improved acceleration

Get a Banks Pedal Monster, they will take care of the slugishness.

Lmao are you joking? That ain't gonna do jack. Pedal commanders and pulsars ain't gonna do nothing when comes to making more power and torque my guy. All your doing is changing the Throttle sensitivity and disabling AFM/DFM. I dont have warranty on my truck anyways

the rear gear can be changed, matching the front of a 4wd is the issue.

as far as the PM goes....correct, no power is added, but it does take out the factory tuned delay od throttle response. IT DOES MAKE A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE....i run on my, 23 6.2, 23 Denali 3500 duramax...and i know of a few others, makes drivability much more pleasurable.

yes, that can be tuned in also, but for a 23 up truck....295$ is way less than 3K to tune.

Well mines an odd ball. It's a 2019
custom trail boss boss and it released in the transition year. Most of the stuff like rear diff and layout of the engine is similar if not the exact same as the classic body style. So does that mean I'll be able to swap gears and get like a tuner for the gear swap?

These guys appear to have sourced the 3.73 front gear welded to the diff assembly. https://teamblacklake.myshopify.com/products/blacklake-3-73-front-gear-kit

The rear depends on which rear axle you have. If you have the AAM rear axle, you can get gears and posi's for it. If you have the GM axle, I don't think you can get anything for it.

My truck is 3.42 gears a 6 speed transmission. Looking to swap to 4.10s.

Be cautious of driveshaft speed. These trucks have a really long driveshaft which has a low critical rpm. Lowering gear ratio means you’ll turn more driveshaft rpm for a given rpm. So you’ll hit critical rpm at a lower mph.
