- 2025 Silverado 1500 LT TB
Hello all- long time lurker.
Decided I can speak intelligently about my newish 25 1500 LT TB 6.2. Now that I have about 3500 miles since I got it late summer.
Came over from Ram, previously Ford. Each have their strengths and weaknesses, but I am overall very impressed so far with the truck. I probably would have kept in the shadows until the mass investment in V8 engines. Chevy is the only one who gives us v8 options, and I hope the new big dog in town bites hard. The 5.7 hemi was bland where my current 6.2 feels much more alive.
I have added a bunch of do-dads and such. Performance mods include a K and N cold air system. The exhaust tuning from chevy. Pedelmonster. I did replace the standard 20s with a LT 285 70 18 Toyo ATIII. They are worth it cosmetically, practically, and gas efficiency has dropped as expected by 1-2 mpg.
Looking forward to chatting about your rides! T
