So I'll be throwing on 285/75r18 tires on my trail boss here soon. It came with some off brand Toyo R/T looking tire that is fine but I live in Colorado and need snow performance.

So my options come down to "ol reliable" Wrangler Duratracs or the new Nokian Outpost nAt.

Duratracs
62lbs 35.1"

Outpost nAts
58lbs 34.8

My truck is predominantly the camping/hunting/boat pulling rig. It likely won't see more than 4k miles per year. My worry about the Duratracs is "floatiness" while towing and noise. Outposts are new but made in USA and the few reviews I've read have all been positive especially in snow conditions.

Well, there are few things certain in life - but one is that Duratracs WILL get noisy. Like the brand - they are GOOD for a YEAR then get very noisy.

I’ve been looking at the Outpost Nat as well so I voted for them. I only know one person with them but he’s very happy with them. I have the duratracs on three of my trucks right now and they’re good tires, just too noisy. I don’t notice the noise when I’m in my other trucks but my trailboss is so quiet that the tire noise is way more noticeable.
