Just joined the forums after purchasing a '20 Silverado Trail Boss. Traded in a '17 Tahoe as I was looking for a bit more reliability. Actually the only thing the Tahoe had as a liability was that horrible transmission they put in there for a few years around that one. The torque converter grenaded the transmission once when I was coming back from a family vacation with all our stuff, my wife, and our dog. Five hours from home, no fun. Tranny replaced, but I had a feeling it was going to go out again. Now I don't have to worry.

I got the LT model, with at least MOST of the nice stuff options on it. Beast is a comfortable ride. and frankly there's only two things I just don't like on it

Tire noise. I see by the forums I'm not alone on that. It has the usual and customary LT275/65r18's on it, and as I understand, the get much noisier as they wear. This truck had 37k on it when I purchased, so most likely I can resolve this with installation of new tires. I'm uncertain if I will put the same brand on it though.

Second problem ought to be easily resolved as well. The headlights on these from the factory seem abysmal. Drove the truck through the curvy narrow roads of the eastern Tennessee mountains last night, and I was easily out-driving the headlights. Now granted, I'm 67 and my eyes aren't what they used to be, but these lights are BAD. I'll soon search the forums to see if others feel the same and what they did.

All in all though, my wife and I are glad we purchased, and are pretty pleased overall.

Take care,

Kevin
