Right before the new year, my wife and I bought a 2020 Trail Boss with only 37k miles on it. This beast is in what I'd consider "like new" condition. We traded in our '17 Tahoe, a vehicle that we really did like a lot. But Chevy around those years installed a transmission that used a torque converter that was prone to gernading the rest of the transmission. It did it to me once coming back from a family vacation, while we were still 5 hours from home. I wanted to separate myself from that problem as it was inevitably going to happen again, sometime.
This new truck is the LT version, all white, with most, not all, of the options offered. Far more that I like about it than what I don't. Mainly the tire noise, and the frontal lighting. It has the usual and customary LT275/65r18's on it and jeez is it LOUD. What reading I have done suggests that as the Wranglers age, they get louder. So I'll have to see what the forums suggest for a decent replacement. Now last night, we took the truck over to a friends house through the high mountain roads of Eastern Tennessee. (That means curvy and hilly). The headlights on this thing are really abysmal. Granted I have "old" eyes, but I found it very easy to overdrive the output of the headlights on these roads. Again, I'll be anxious to see what some of you folks have done in regard to the headlights.
But comfy to ride in, oh yeah!
Take care and Happy New Year!
