Hidden mini USB behind charge station

Does anyone know what the mini usb port is used for behind the usb/type-c charging ports. When you pop this out there's a mini usb in the back, can that be utilized? I tried searching and didn't see anything on this. please push me in the right direction if there's already a thread that I couldn't find. thanks

Doesn't look like you have buckets with a console. If you had that that is where the extension harness plugs in for the USB plugs in the console.

So can I buy a mini USB adapter to USB to utilize this port for a dashcam or does it have zero power?

it should function just as if you had the console...i have never used mine, so cannot say if it constant power or key on only

I use a USB port that's plugged into the cigarette adapter for my dashcam which turns on and off once vehicle is started. I attempted to plug the dashcam into the mini USB in the back but it doesn't seem to power automatically on and I have to unplug it and plug it in for the camera to gain power. It also screws up the android auto connection. Any input is much appreciated, I'll probably just leave it be. Was hoping to hide my dashcam cord or the wireless android auto box but neither seem to function correctly.

Wasn't aware this "pops out", mine seems pretty tight and doesn't appear that it could come out?

A plastic trim tool works well to pop it out without damaging it. The tabs are on both top and bottom of each corner.
