How do you like the 5.3 in 2023 TBs?

My dad has an older 5.3 and that to me always felt sluggish, but these new ones not at all... I really like it

I traded a 2010 Tahoe with the 5.3l and 6-speed for this truck...the difference is far beyond night and day...it's a whole different league. That's where I think this idea of the "slow 5.3l" came from.

Hi everyone first post, potential TB buyer here... Looking at getting one, I admit I'm a ram guy but I have had Chevys in my life so I always liked both. I'm fond of my Hemis tho. But I can't get over how good these TBs look and Its been awhile since I had a chevy.

But reading YouTube comments you'd think the 5.3 is virtually motionless compared to the 6.2...whats your experience? Is that overblown?

Whats wild tho is in my neck of the woods I can't even find 6.2s, they're all 5.3.

But anyways yea just curious to hear from some actual owners as opposed to the likes of YT comments section. Thanks
I just traded my 2021 LT Trail Boss 5.3L in for a 2024 LT Trail Boss 6.2L. The 5.3 had plenty of power and accelerated very well for a truck. The 6.2L accelerates like a sporty car. I did not trade my old truck because of the engine, it just ended up having the bigger engine. Both ar good engines from what I have read.

The active exhaust in 24 for the 6.2 was the extra push that made me decide on the 6.2. I did drive a 5.3 and has plenty of power, can't go wrong with either but if you like extra power on tap and sounds of freedom, go 6.2 with the active exhaust.

Just purchased a TB with the 5.3 - I have a small Ranger bass boat and it will be perfectly adequate for pulling that. I have a more "dedicated" car if I feel the need for speed and acceleration.
