So I ordered the OEM fog lights, and I’ve got the switch installed and wired. I’ve got the wire passed through the firewall per the instructions, and after some doing, I’ve got that wire injected into the Body 2 Connector, as well as the loose end from the light harness. Where I’m having trouble is operating the connector to disconnect it, right behind the RS high beam. I understand how the connector works (pic below) but I can’t fathom for the life of me how to operate the secondary (black) release where it is installed. Does anyone have a suggestion? I’ve fashioned 2 “actuators” out of a coat hanger and a skewer, but neither are able to press the release while my other hand is pulling the connector. I’m all out of ideas. Help!

Have you pulled the red tab back first? After that you should be able to use you thumb to press the black release tab while pulling the connector. If that is the high beam connector you can pull the bulb out with it and gain easier access or better angles.

Yeah, I’ve pulled the red tab back. I just can’t get the leverage to depress the black one. It’s funny because my arms aren’t big, my wrists aren’t big, and my hands aren’t big. I just can’t seem to get the angle. I may have to try pulling the high beam out, but I didn’t think it would help on account of being enclosed in the “compartment.” Thank you for the quick reply!

Pulling them out helped me when I switched to led bulbs.

I sympathize, when I swapped out LEDs the tight spots and pulling off those connectors are a bitch. All I can offer is, patience. Wiggle a little, push, slight twist etc to hopefully pop them loose. You may have already got them done by now,if not good luck.
